There was a mystery Ferrari 458 prototype caught last week in a spy video near Maranello. The British press seems to believe the secret mule is actually the next generation of the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. To support their speculations, they believe the long bonnet of the mystery Ferrari 458 prototype is a dead giveaway which indicates to the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. However, this doesn’t explain why the secret mule has the same headlight design as the 458. Could it be a four-seat version of the Italia?
The new Ferrari 612 Scaglietti/mystery Ferrari 458 Italia prototype wears extremely heavy camouflage so its impossible to distinguish its rear section.
At this point, only time will tell the real identity of the mystery mule in the spy video. The video’s description says it was shot near Ferrari’s factory in Maranello, Italy. In case you missed it you can view it below.
