Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5 Competizione
It was recently reported that James Glickenhaus had confirmed that he and several partners were going to build the P4/5 Competizione race car to enter in endurance racing events.
The P4/5 name came from the P4/5 vehicle that was custom built for Glickenhaus by the design house Pininfarina, based on an Enzo and inspird by the Ferrari P3/4 race car.
At first it was reported that this race car would be built on a Ferrari 612 chassis, an Enzo underpinning, but that was a mistake. Glickenhaus has said that the race car will actually share its frame with one of the Ferrari V8 models rather than the V12 Enzo which led us to speculate that a 458 Italia chassis will probably be used.
The plan is to enter the car at the Nurburgring 24 hour race next year, in a class that allows one-off vehicles. This would not be a homolgated race car, however, and wouldn’t be able to run in other series, whether FIA GT3 or the American Le Mans Series.
What do you think about the Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5 Competizione?
