The German tuner Hamann has picked the Ferrari 458 Italia for an upgrade as expected, but only developed two types of light alloy rims for the car to improve it.
The first set is a split rim forged one, while the second is an ultra light forged version. Both sets of rims come in a 21 inch size and feature a cross spoke design. The bodies of the rims come dressed in black spider paint, while their flanges uses a polished finish that matches the titanium screws. The flanges can also be ordered in anodized black.
The Ferrari 458 Italia has a 4.5 liter V8 that delivers 570 hp at 9,000 rpm and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine works with a seven speed dual clutch transmission to push the car from 0 to 62 mph (100km/h) in 3.4 seconds. If the driver pushes the supercar, it will hit a top speed of 200 mph (325 km/h). The vehicle emits 320 grams of CO2 for every kilometer driven and returns a fuel consumption figure of 17 mpg (13.7 liters/100 km).
Ferrari has surrounded the car’s price tag in mystery, which wasn’t shattered until last October when the automaker announced that the 458 Italia will have a starting price of about $280,000.
The 458 Italia has three personalities, as it uses a three-mode Vehicle Dynamics Assistance system that controls its engine, gearbox and brakes. The driver can choose between three settings, starting with the tame CT, continuing to the more violent Race and finally reaching the monstrous CTS off.
