The replacement for Ferrari 599 GTB will finally be revealed at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, and it’s called the F620.

That 620 does NOT refer to the car’s power output. That is in fact 710hp. The engine is the same 6.3 liter V12 first used in the Enzo, but it’s been tweaked and refined to make that colossal amount of horsepower.

That extra 10hp over 700 is probably just there to be rubbed in the Lamborghini Aventador’s face!

The power will be transmitted using Ferrari 458′s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to the rear wheels. That is not the only similarity between this and the 458, which it will look very much like it, especially at the front. It gets the same sort of headlights and bumper, but the rear remains pretty much the same as the current 599, with a touch of FF.

There has been rumors about this car sporting KERS or some sort of hybrid technology. But that is not the case, not at least for now.

I’m just saying, but the future lineup of Ferraris will look like all the same except a few features between each model. What do you think about the Ferraris that are coming out?

As you probably already know, Ferrari is working on a brand new car, in fact it’s working on two very important cars that might be connected, though we’re not sure. One is a replacement for the Enzo mid-engined marvel, and the other is a fresh 599.

We say they might be connected because the engine could be shared, or at least the block. Right now, it rumored that the engine to be used displaces 6.3 liters, and the naturally-aspirated V12 makes use of direct injection to offer a high level of efficiency. The output of this all-mighty lump is supposed to be a very Aventador-like 700 horsepower, and thanks to German publication Auto Motor und Sport, we can actually hear it.

Currently, it’s expected to debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, though we have no way of knowing just how ready that prototype is. Either way, that monster definitely sounds like it’s worth the wait.

Here are the latest spy photos of the Ferrrari 599 replacement, codenamed F152, taken during some tests on public roads as  well as the famous Ferrari entrance in Maranello.

As previously reported, the F152 is rumored to forgo a carbon fiber body,  like the ones found in the Lamborghini Aventador and McLaren MP4-12C, in favor  of an aluminum body structure due to high construction costs and little benefit to performance.

Speculated to carry the name F620, the new front-engine rear-wheel drive  supercar will be based on the new Ferrari FF and use the same 6.3-liter V12  engine and seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Power output is expected to increase  from the FF’s 660 PS (485 kW / 651 hp) to 710 PS (522 kW / 700 bhp).

The F620 is expected to have it world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in  early March.

Dusseldorf-based Anderson Germany has unveiled their latest project. Based on the Ferrari 599, Anderson have added performance, aerodynamic and cosmetic upgrades to make the Italian Gran Turismo more appealing.

This Ferrari 599 has an extra 54hp bringing the total up to 674hp. This has been achieved thanks to optimised software and a new exhaust system. It features a valve system, which can be driver-adjustable by remote control with two different sound settings. Zero to 62 mph is achieved in just over three seconds and top speed is in excess of 186 mph.

Anderson doesn’t skimp on the carbon fiber–the tuner’s 599 gets new mirror housings and bumpers, custom side skirts, and a rear diffuser, all crafted from carbon fiber to save weight. There’s a new rear diffuser finished in Anderson Germany’s new “Black Diamond Metallic” with glossy black racing stripes. Tires are size 9×21 inch three-spoke, black rims with red trimmings coupled with 245/30-21 tires. Larger 12×21 inch rims with 345/25-21 tires are fitted to the rear. Brake callipers are finished in red.

The interior of the Ferrari 599 has also been modified by Anderson Germany. Inside, the car gets custom upholstery featuring carbon-fiber-look leather with contrasting ventilated panels stitched in a diamond pattern. There’s plenty of real carbon fiber, too, including the gearshift, door handles, window switches, door sills and center console.

You’ll have to contact Anderson directly if you want prices, since the tuning firm doesn’t publish pricing for its cars.

Just a few weeks ago, it was rumored that Ferrari was working on a special edition 599 bearing the name of the great Fernando Alonso.  That may still be the case, but if that model does come along, it will be paired with the sports car in these new spy shots.  Apparently, Ferrari has developed a special lightweight 599XX EVO just as the original Ferrari Enzo-based FXX experimental supercar had its more extreme FXX Evolution variant.

Taken during the Finali Mondiali event held in Italy, the spy shots depict a 599XX Evolution, or ‘Evoluzione’ as it’s labeled by Ferrari, being prepped before deliveries start to select customers as part of the ongoing Ferrari Corse Clienti (race clients) program.

The program essentially enlists the help of dedicated Ferrari customers who enjoy taking their supercars to the track and provide feedback to Ferrari’s engineering team. Not only does Ferrari organize a number of track day events around the globe for its clients, the automaker also supplies pit crews and technicians to tend to each of the cars.

Unlike the current 599XX, the new 599XX Evo is expected to feature a more powerful version of the latest 6.3-liter V-12 found in the FF and destined to power the 599’s successor–possibly with as much as 800 horsepower on tap.

We can also see plenty of aerodynamic enhancements, including winglets similar to the units seen of Ferrari’s Formula 1 car. In addition to these, there’s a large rear wing, electronic upgrades, uprated brakes and what appear to be new side vented exhaust tips.

You may recall that the current 599XX was the first production-derived car to have broken the seven minute barrier for a lap of the Nurburgring-Nordschleife, posting a time of 6:58.16 earlier this year. You can bet that this latest version will be even quicker, and you can also bet that many of its technologies will appear on the new GT scheduled to replace the 599 next year.

The new Ferrari 599XX Evo will probably make its official debut in March at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned!

Spy photographers have managed to snap a second Ferrari model out testing in Italy at the sports car maker’s home turf of Maranello. This time, the disguised model is a California, out testing alongside the 599 successor we reported on two days ago. Sources suggest that this Ferrari California is fitted with a turbocharger and could be hiding a series of performance enhancements and weight reductions.

The most notable difference between the car in these pictures and the standard Ferrari California are the NACA ducts fitted to the front nose. These ducts have historic significance, having been a distinguishing feature of the iconic Ferrari 250 GTO and the Ferrari F40. However, we don’t suspect that Ferrari will use the GTO moniker for this model. Other visible differences include a bulge on the passenger side of the vehicle and a mis-fitting bonnet.

Rumours have been circulating recently about a 30hp increase in power for the 2012 California. These rumours have been all but confirmed by dealers who are now taking deposits for a 2012 California at a premium of 2% above the out going model. At the same time, Ferrari will release a £ 5,000 HGTE upgrade, much like the one offered for the 599 a couple of years ago. A 30kg weight reduction should be felt, and upgrades to the on-board infotainment system.

While these spyshots prove that something is on the books for Ferrari, it has lead to speculation that something more substantial will be presented at a later date. The photographers have suggested that the mule is fitted with a turbocharger which they reported a distinct whine from the engine bay. A dramatic revelation, harking back to the Ferrari F40, the last Ferrari to use forced induction. Whatever is under the hood, Ferrari’s engineers were certainly worried about cooling during testing. The hood was kept open slightly when driving off the track, but closed once the  car began running laps. A cover over the front of the hood was removed prior to  testing, which presumably revealed the NACA ducts we see in these photos.

At the moment, we’re not sure whether the California will breed a Scuderia-style hardcore variant or whether this could be a simple model overhaul. There are of course plenty of other options. It could be a test mule for a different type of engine. Perhaps the Enzo-successors engine. Admittedly, this would be a long stretch as Ferrari are likely to test this engine in a mid-engined vehicle. Perhaps the label on the fuel filler cap gives us a better idea? It say’s ‘Only V-Power’. Why would Ferrari employees need to be reminded?

Now that Ferrari has launched the FF as the official replacement of the 612 Scaglietti, it’s time for the Italian automaker to wrap up development of the successor to the 599. The car’s replacement was undergoing development in a California shell. What you see here are the first photos that actually give a glimpse of the new car’s shape, dressed in loose-fitting camouflage.

The 599 successor – rumored to be dubbed F620 – will likely be powered by Ferrari’s 6.3-liter V12, churning out over 700 horsepower. Unlike the all-wheel-drive FF, the 599 replacement will continue to use rear-wheel drive, sending its power to the back wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with an F1-style electronic differential. As previously reported, a hybrid drivetrain could also be in the works.

Our sources suggest that the F620 will be much lighter than the outgoing 599, due in part to a larger usage of aluminum in the body construction. As for design, it’s safe to assume that the coupe will take a large influence from the 458 Italia, with some cues from the FF thrown in for good measure. Then again, it’s a Ferrari, so we doubt the finished product will be anything but stunning.

Expect to see more of the F620 as it continues its development testing over the next few months. The car is expected to make its debut at next year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March and could go on sale by late 2012.

The last thing any automaker needs is to stay in neutral.  The world is a tough place with finicky people that want continual improvement.  From 1987 to 1995, Ferrari sold about 1300 units of the crowd favorite, the Ferrari F40.  Then, in 2006, the company came out with the 599 GTB which was designed with several specific objectives in mind: to increase driving pleasure, guarantee performance (courtesy of technology transfers from the F1 single-seaters), and ensure comfort, ergonomics, and safety.  With all of these new features and technology, does the 599 GTB beat out the F40?

Ferrari has called this a “fictional” race which it is, but the video was done so well that people will think they are really watching these two supercars battle it out for supremacy.  We’re thinking many people will agree with the outcome.

The streets of Dubai are one of the few places in the world where you have a decent chance of catching a glimpse of a supercar on your way to work, they just usually aren’t pink. Behold the unusual. This far too pink Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was filmed cruising on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai .

The 599 is believed to be owned one of the members of the Royal Al-Thani family in Qatar which probably explains (but doesn’t excuse) the bizarre color choice. Amazingly enough, it wouldn’t be the first time royal colors have been to blame for a matte pink supercar.

Being the Ferrari’s most powerful V12-engined production car of all time, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano features a 6.0-liter V12 engine derived directly from the Enzo supercar, producing 620 hp at 7,600 rpm and 446 pound-feet of torque at 5,600 rpm.

Now Ferrari prepares the successor for the 599 GTB Fiorano, code named F152 and has started testing it. Well, you have the chance to see it here, because spy photographers managed to catch it on camera.

Here you can see a a typical mule, under which chopped up 599 GTO body is the new chassis and powertrain. Keep in mind that, the F152 will look nothing like this at all. Powered by a modified version of the great 6.3 liter V12, this one will get direct injection and probably stay rear-wheel-drive only. Power is expected to climb close to 700 horsepower, if not more, and will connect to the rear wheels via the new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

While Ferrari FF is more the family orientated family car for everyday use, the 599 successor will be the true super sportscar thanks to the use of more aluminium and carbon fibre.

So far the real name and details about pricing are still unknown, but expect to debut in 2012 being priced slightly more than the current 599 GTB Fiorano, which cost $320,000.
