London-based bespoke coachbuilder, Prindiville Design, has launched three tuning programs for the Ferrari 458 Italia, named S1, S2, and S3. Each package differs with respect to its looks.

The red 458 in the gallery below showcases the S1 program, which has a limited edition run of 25 vehicles. The bodykit includes a front bumper with a stainless steel mesh grills, side skirts, rear bumper, mirror covers, rear tailgate vents, rear spoiler and roof air duct. All parts are made of carbon fiber. Prindiville alloy wheels are available to finish off the new looks.

The S2 program (silver) for the 458 italia has a different body kit with additional top front carbon fiber wing air vent grills. Same goes for the S3 program (orange), which offers a carbon fiber lower front lip spoiler, top air vent grills and rear grills from carbon fiber. The S2 and S3 bodykits are also limited to 25 pieces.

On the technical side the tuner offers a titanium exhaust system, which is up to 70% lighter, replacement sports 200 cell catalytic converters, an ECU upgrade, air filters and suspension kits.

On the inside, you can get anything you want. Prindiville Design has a standard portfolio of interior enhancement programs, entertainment upgrades, and Prindiville tailor made luxury car mats.

A Ferrari F430 supercar has been recently crashed in Malaysia, after its driver had lost control of the wheel and stopped his ride underneath a guardrail.

Where ever there will be exotic cars there will also be exotic car crashes and a regular driving license isn’t apparently enough when you’re riding in a beast. The latest example comes from Malaysia where a driver crashed a Ferrari F430. According to wreckedexotics.com, the Ferrari F430 was being test driven by a man who pushed the gas pedal too hard, loosing control of the wheel and crashing it underneath a guardrail. The unfortunate event happened in Klia, Malaysia, and both driver and passenger were injured.

As a reminder, the Ferrari F430 has been manufactured by Ferrari from 2004 to 2009 and it was the successor of the 360. The supercar was officially presented to the public at the 2004 Paris Motor Show and it was succeeded by the 458 Italia. The F430 was coming in two body styles, two-seat Berlinetta and two-seat Spider, having a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. The supercar is powered by a 4.3 liter V8 engine which is developing a total output of 483 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 465 Nm (343 lb-ft).

Here’s something to keep you busy for the rest of the weekend, you know, if you have nothing better to do, in which case we are really sorry.

This is the online configurator for the Ferrari 458 Italia, the drop-top version of the divine 458, which comes with a folding hard-top and a different rear design as a result of that.

Traditionally, the drop-top Ferrari that follows a GT model is nowhere near as good as the coupe. But people who have tried the new Spider will tell you that for the first time you should choose the open top version, because it’s so bloody good.

That’s great, but we still think the coupe is prettier. That said, it’s like saying Charlize Theron is prettier than Cameron Diaz.

The 458 Spider’s configurator is very well designed and very feature-rich, which is interesting because most of the people who will try it are actually those who cannot afford one. The people who can afford a Spider are usually very busy and can’t be bothered to fiddle with a website for hours. They prefer to visit the showroom and have the salesman do the job.

This gruesome wreckage is the result of the actions of an alleged drunk driver who lost control of his Ferrari 458 Italia outside a nightclub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
He reportedly was trying to show off to a girl when he lost control of the bright red supercar, first crashing into a nearby streetlamp and then into a tree.
As you can see by the image, the damage to the 458 Italia is quite severe, with the impact requiring the airbags to be deployed.
According to Wrecked Exotics, the driver had just exited the nightclub and was intoxicated when he got into his car. Enlacosa, which has several more images of the wreckage, reports that no one was injured in the crash.

It didn’t take too much brains for the intoxicated driver to get into his Ferrari and smash it up. He sure is a dumbass. What do you think about this driver and his mistake to drive his Ferrari after getting drunk at the nightclub?

There is nothing slow about the Ferrari 458 Italia. It has a 4.5L direct-injected V8, cranks out 562hp, with a 7-speed twin clutch automated manual putting out 9,000rpm redline. It does 0-60 in 3.0 seconds flat, 0-100 in 6.5, quarter mile in 11.0 seconds at 131 mph.
It’s no competition to the Koenigsegg Agera R though which has a 5.0L 32v all-aluminum twin turbo V8. It puts out 1,115bhp at 6,900rpm and 885 lb-ft at 4,100rpm. The Ferrari is no heavyweight at 3,480 lbs. The Agera R is 500 lbs. lighter however.
The Agera R is setting records lately. It’s doing 0-186mph-0 and 0-200mph-0 runs. That’s 0-186mph and back to a dead stop in 21.19 seconds. It hits 186mph from a standstill more than five seconds faster than a Bugatti Veyron. It does a 0-125mph-0 faster than most “sport cars” can do a quarter mile–a certified 12.7 seconds 0-200mph-0 in 24.96 seconds. That is absolutely nuts.

Now that Ferrari has launched the FF as the official replacement of the 612 Scaglietti, it’s time for the Italian automaker to wrap up development of the successor to the 599. The car’s replacement was undergoing development in a California shell. What you see here are the first photos that actually give a glimpse of the new car’s shape, dressed in loose-fitting camouflage.

The 599 successor – rumored to be dubbed F620 – will likely be powered by Ferrari’s 6.3-liter V12, churning out over 700 horsepower. Unlike the all-wheel-drive FF, the 599 replacement will continue to use rear-wheel drive, sending its power to the back wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with an F1-style electronic differential. As previously reported, a hybrid drivetrain could also be in the works.

Our sources suggest that the F620 will be much lighter than the outgoing 599, due in part to a larger usage of aluminum in the body construction. As for design, it’s safe to assume that the coupe will take a large influence from the 458 Italia, with some cues from the FF thrown in for good measure. Then again, it’s a Ferrari, so we doubt the finished product will be anything but stunning.

Expect to see more of the F620 as it continues its development testing over the next few months. The car is expected to make its debut at next year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March and could go on sale by late 2012.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is one of the latest sports car in the line-up of the Italian manufacturer. It uses a 4.5 liter V8 engine with 570hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. Figures? 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph.

A Swedish owner decided to add a special wrap to the prancing horse. You may call it overkill or being a bit strange, but he is just a little zealous of his ride.

This isn’t the first modified Ferrari 458 Italia from Anderson, and it certainly isn’t one of the German tuning firm’s better achievements. It is titled the Anderson Ferrari 458 Carbon Edition.

Known best for building some of the most sinister looking supercars on the planet, Anderson’s latest 458 creation is based more around the concept of lifting performance by lowering weight rather than simply setting the style.

That said, the car doesn’t look too bad and has most likely been designed with such contrasts so as to show off all the modifications made. These mainly consist of a replacing many of the standard parts on the 458 with lighter and stiffer carbon fiber pieces.

Some of the pieces include a new front lip spoiler, air intake guards, heat vent fins, and a new rear spoiler. Anderson also added new carbon fiber roof and hood pieces, as well as door handles, a trunk lid and side mirror all made of the same lightweight material.

To finish off the look, Anderson’s 458 has also been fitted with a set of 21-inch carbon fiber wheels wrapped with 345 mm rubber in the rear and 245 mm up front.

Of course, there are also some healthy power upgrades available from Anderson, with this particular Ferrari benefitting from a new exhaust system that contains such perks as heat protection and special end pipes and retuned ECU program. The end result is a peak output of 623 horsepower, up 53 horses on the standard model’s 4.5-liter V-8.

No pricing information has been released yet for Anderson of Germany’s Ferrari 458 Carbon Edition.

 It was not easy for Ferrari to receive this award for the second year in a row. The 458 Italia was competing against some of the best performance cars, which are currently on sale in the UK auto market.

The Ferrari Italia though was the clear favorite of the panel of judges once again as it outscored the other automobiles on all three categories, namely, performance, the ability to handle both road and track and sheer desirability.

Other performance cars that participated in Auto Express’ Performance Car of the Year test are Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, Porsche Cayman R, Aston Martin Vantage S, McLaren MP4-12C, Renault Megane RenaultSport Trophy 265, Ford Fiesta Metal, Jaguar XKR-S, MINI Cooper SD and Audi RS3.

Steve Fowler, Editor in Chief of Auto Express, commented: “Being a double winner of our Performance Car of the Year is a massive achievement for the 458 Italia. Nothing has come close to matching its blend of performance, agility, style and quality – this is a car that’s as thrilling to drive as it is to look at, a joy to potter around in and an absolute blast to drive fast. The Auto Express’ Performance Car of the Year award is not the only international accolade that the Ferrari Italia 458 has won. In fact, it already received more than 35 awards to date. In its debut year, the car received BBC Top Gear’s “Car of the Year” and “Supercar of the Year”, and Fifth Gear’s “Fast Car of the Year” awards. In 2010, the 458 Italia was named “Performance Car of the Year” by Auto Express, What Car? and CAR Magazine. This year, the car was honored as “2011 Best Driver’s Car” from Motor Trend, “Best Sports Car” from Auto Motor and Sport in Germany and “World Performance Car of the Year 2011.” The 458 Italia’s 4.5-liter V8 engine was also voted “Best Performance Engine” and “Best Engine Above 4 Litres” at the prestigious 2011 International Engine of the Year Awards.

What better thing to do on a Sunday afternoon, than to take your Ferrari 458 Italia and to go for a nice drive along some winding mountain roads. Well, if along the way you encounter a Nissan GT-R, your week-end just got better. We’re not really sure of this is the case with the two drivers in this clip, but we’re pretty sure they had the time of their life. Here are some technical details, to help you understand why the GT-R is in front. Even though it has a smaller 3.8-liter V6 engine, the Nissan GT-R develops 530 PS and 612 Nm of torque and is equipped with an all-wheel-drive system. According to Nissan’s official specs, the GT-R is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 3 seconds.

The Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine with an output of 570 hp and 540 Nm of torque. Ferrari says that the 458 Italia can get from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds. The 458 Italia is rear-wheel-drive.
