The Ferrari 430 Scuderia is one of those vehicles that can reset your mind using its soundtrack alone and we’ve brought a video to illustrate this, with the clip showing the racing-inspired version of the supercar on the track.

The video, which was uploaded by Youtube user cvdzijden, brings us to the Spa Francorchamps track, where a driver manhandles his Ferrari 430 Scuderia. As the vehicle passes by, its exhaust sound floods the surroundings, with the Italian V8 being more than happy to offer audio thrills to everybody in the area.

The clip also includes other spicy bits, such as parts that show us the car being driven hard in the rain, with the Italian masterpiece showing no fear in front of the water.

Ferrari of Newport Beach decided to have created a chic Prancing Horse racer for the road, with the result being the 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia dressed in Tiffany Blue you see here.

The 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia sports only 427-miles on the odometer, and its asking price is $219,000. It comes with the carbon package, bright yellow calipers, a yellow tachometer, Alcantara interior featuring light blue accent stitching, a Ferrari iPod, carbon fiber steering wheel with LEDs, navigation, white racing stripe and large racing seats.

“If you’re a serious car collector or just someone looking for an extremely rare find this is your car and the only one like it on the planet. We sent the Tiffany gift box along with the white silk ribbon to the factory and said match it!” the ad for the car explains. So if you are into these kinds of cars then this one is for you.

Jim Glickenhaus and his team have treated us to another video of the P4/5 Competizione lapping a race track, this time Germany’s iconic Nurburgring Nordschleife. We get to ride along as the performance machine is driven around the Bavarian circuit by Italian race driver Luca Cappellari.

The laps will help the team prepare for several races at the Nurburgring, starting with the P4/5 Competizione’s race debut at the VLN Endurance Championship in April, and continuing with the 24 Hours of Nurburgring race this June. In a brief documentary released earlier this month, we got a brief look behind-the-scenes of the Competizione’s construction, highlighting race equipment like the roll cage. Yet in spite of its racing pedigree, the car wears a New York license plate, implying that it is–somehow–road-legal like its Pininfarina P4/5 sibling.

The video doesn’t reveal the P4/5′s Nurburgring lap time, a number which has become the unofficial benchmark for modern performance cars, but the car looks just as fast here as when we saw it on the Vallelunga Circuit in Italy. Based on the Ferrari 430 Scuderia with the drivetrain from the F430 GT2 race car, Glickenhaus’s creation has no trouble passing the various other sports cars attacking the German circuit. The team members are no doubt crossing their fingers that the car can likewise dispatch competitors in April.

ARTIST GARTEL TRANSLATES A FERRARI SCUDERIA into a CANVAS.

Prior to the personal computer Laurence GARTEL broke all established methodologies when he explored electronic imaging known today as (Digital Media) in the early 70s while working on analog system computers. GARTEL set out to create new visual language through the adoption of technology in the art making process. GARTEL taught Andy Warhol how to use the Amiga Computer when he received the commission to produce the album cover for Debbie Harry (Blondie) in the 80s.

GARTEL’s new psychedelic Scuderia (valued at close to a million dollars) becomes the latest of unique projects GARTEL’s interest in SUPER CARS started several years ago and his exhibition “AUTO MOTION” based on the inspiration of the FERRARI automobile was first showcased at the Bob Rauschenberg Gallery at Edison State College in Ft. Myers, Florida. But the question asked is: “WHY paint a FERRARI? The answer is: “WHY NOT?” – Digitally of course.

Ever since the first cave paintings were discovered in France (40,000 BC) man has had an intellectual surge of artistic expression. Stained glass as a medium created in the Middle Ages gave birth to a new formula of artistic process. The idea of “unique surface” is something artists have sought after over time.

Some purists would say, “A Ferrari needs to be left well enough alone.” That may be true, but when a collector has more than 10 of them, you can begin to see the options,” states GARTEL. “Artistic and cultural minds change our thought process,” declares GARTEL. Imagine if there was no Frank Gehry? Architecture would be dull in our contemporary environment. “So I tip my hat to Enzo Ferrari for having real vision in the automotive world. – It is about to evolve into a prophetic significance.”

A new Ferrari P4/5 Competizione track video has been released recently. This time it was filmed on the Franciacorta race track during a very foggy day. Currently, the one-off Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is being tested in preparation for the 2011 Nurburgring  24 hour race, where drivers Fabrizio Giovanardi, Luca Cappellari, Nicola Larini and Mika Salo will try to take it to a podium finish. Based on the 430 Scuderia, the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione was developed as a race car. Powered by the same engine as the F430 GT2 ALMS racer, the Ferrari P4/5 Competizione also borrows the suspension from the same vehicle.

This is the President of Ferrari Luca di Montezemolo test driving the new Stratos for the first time on Ferrari’s own test track Fiorano. He liked it so much he signed it!

The new one off model had been commissioned to Pininfarina by Michael Stoschek for himself and his son, Maximilian. This model designed in 2010 is exclusive and unique. A new, modern Stratos is being designed for 2011, in tandem with the 40th anniversary of the original model. The car will use the 4.3L V8 engine currently used in the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. The car’s body panels are speculated to be carbon fibre. It is further speculated that this car will enjoy a limited-production run.

The Stratos was a very successful rally car during the 1970s and early 1980s. It started a new era in rallying as it was the first car designed from scratch for this kind of competition. The three leading men behind the entire rallying project were Lancia team manager Cesare Fiorio, British racer/engineer Mike Parkes and factory rally driver Sandro Munari.

The bodywork was designed by Marcello Gandini, head designer at Bertone, and the technical layout was loosely based on a (Lancia Fulvia V4 powered) concept car called Stratos Zero which had been first shown at the Turin Motor Show in 1970. The body was wedge-shaped, and unusually short and wide, providing maximum traction. The car later appeared in Michael Jackson’s 1988 film, Moonwalker as well as in his music video for Smooth Criminal.

The car won the 1974, 1975 and 1976 championship titles in the hands of Sandro Munari and Björn Waldegård, and might have gone on to win more had not internal politics within the Fiat group placed rallying responsibility on the Fiat 131 Abarths. As well as victories on the 1975, 1976 and 1977 Monte Carlo Rally, all courtesy of Munari, the Stratos won the event with the private Chardonnet Team as late as 1979.

Automobile design consultant Chris Hrabalek has the largest Lancia Stratos Collection in the world – he owns 11 unique Lancia Stratos cars, including the fluorescent red 1971 factory prototype and the 1977 Safari Rally car.

Lancia Automobiles S.p.A. revealed the technical specs and the performance stats of the all new Lancia Stratos. The new super car sits on a 20 cm shortened Ferrari F430 Scuderia underpinning and measures 4181 mm in length, 1971 mm in width, 1240 mm in height with a 2400 mm wheelbase.

The New Lancia Stratos, which has a dry weight of 1247 kg, is expected to reach 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and with a top speed of 274 km/h. The company said it has reduced the top speed due to the use of a new rear axle.

The super car from the Italian automaker is powered using a 4.3L V8 engine that can generate a power of 540-hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The new car comes with a 6 speed sequential gearbox with mechanical variable differential.

The fast moving car is stopped using a 398 mm front and 350 mm rear Brembo brakes. When it comes to controlling the vehicle, the car has an electro-hydraulic power steering pump with the new carbon steering wheel with multicolored LEDs. The Italian carmaker has equipped this super car with two outboard aluminium fuel tanks, which has a capacity of 90 liters.

Apart from these features and specifications this super car comes with various other accessories, These accessories include bi-xenon headlights, LED-Ferrari 599 rear lights, one blade front wiper system, electric switch and side indicator, lightweight regulator with anti-trap technology (Brose) and 3.76 mm and 4 mm thin window glass.

In the following video we have a Ferrari 430 Scuderia bombing it around the track. And as you can see, this driver is not taking it easy as they cut turns close and rolls over rumble strips.

But probably my favorite part is when the driver hits 270 km/h — 170 mph — in the Scuderia in top gear. The car just sings for days.

Ferrari P4/5 Competizione

James Glickenhaus and his team have revealed the final renderings of the future P4/5 Competizione. And if the final car will look like in these renderings, all we can say is just “wow!”. The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione will be offered in both racing versions, and also as a road legal car. The Ferrari P4/5 Competizione is being built on a Ferrari 430 Scuderia base and will feature the suspension and V-8 drivetrain of an F430 GT2 ALMS racing car. The team hopes that it can finish the build in time to make preparations for the 24 Hours of Nurburgring on June 25, 2011. The driver teams include: Nicola Larini, Mika Salo , Luca Cappellari and Fabrizio Giovanardi.

James Glickenhaus already revealed a video of the future racing car where it describes the plan for his new supercar, including its intended participation at the Nurburgring endurance race with the North American Racing Team.

Dusseldorf-based tuner Anderson Germany has established itself as a tuning giant by releasing packages for Lamborghini and Ferrari models. Their latest project is based on the Ferrari 430 Scuderia which has been enhanced both visually and mechanically. The Scud’s engine is boosted 575 hp, which is 60 more than the standard.

It is fitted also with a weight reduced valve commanded stainless steel exhaust system (with three adjustable by remote control sound levels – 24 kg/53 lb. of weight saving) with racing cats also a sports air filter and the matching with these features software optimization. It’s overkill really, since the original car has a swell soundtrack.

Other highlight of this package is the set of threepart 8.5×20 and 12×20 light alloy black rims combined with 235/30-20 front and 325/25-20 rear high performance tires, designed to tolerate speeds over 300 km/h.

Anderson provides a Carbon-exterior-packets with mirrors, a tail diffuser and several engine compartment coverings, which give the car a unique character specially in combination with this awesome matte gray color and Scuderia strips in black/brilliant.

Carbon is also used to style the interior along with fine leather applications in alcantara leather and matt finish accents. They even offer a high-end sound system which can be upgraded with amplifiers, system speakers and a subwoofer. As you know the standard Scuderia does not come with a stereo.

Ferrari P4/5 Competizione

If you are not familiar with the Ferrari P4/5, it’s a one-off car commissioned by American billionaire Jim Glickenhaus and designed by Pininfarina based on the Ferrari Enzo. The car is inspired by P3/4 and 412P race cars of 60s and 70s, and it’s one of the best coachbuilt Ferraris made to date. Now Jim wants a racing version of that car, and it’s getting built right now! 

There are no shortage of reasons why we love the Ferrari P4/5, and by extension, owner Jim Glickenhaus for bringing it to realization. The Pininfarina-penned one-off drew its inspiration and design cues from the legendary P3/4, one of the most achingly beautiful – and devastatingly fast – Ferraris ever devised. Just one problem: the original P3/4 was an approved race car, going back to the days when you could drive your machinery to the track, race for the day and then blast back home. Those days are far behind us, but that’s no problem for our old friend Jim. He’ll just make another one.

And so was born the P4/5 Competition project, creating a racing version to compliment the street-legal coachbuilt special. Unlike the Enzo-based road car, Glickenhaus chose to base the Competizione model on the combination of F430 underpinnings, using the 430 Scuderia’s chassis (to ensure that it would be able to be converted back to street use once its racing days were over) and the F430 GT2′s drivetrain to keep it up to speed with the competition.

The project is now well under way, and Jim has released the rendering you see above to give us a heads-up on what the final product will look like. Of course the design is largely the same as the P4/5 roadcar, but upgrades with some race-specific components, from the front splitter to the rear wing and a livery inspired by racing Ferraris of the past. Reports indicate that it will be classified as an experimental racer in the same vein as the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid.

For our part, we can’t wait to see it turn its wheels at the 2011 Nurburgring 24 Hours race, which is scheduled to take place on June 25-26, to see what the racer is really capable of.
